So many reasons not to miss Madison Restaurant Week winter 2010
As far as heading to chain restaurants in the place you live all the time... if it's the lack of a sense of adventure, that's troubling. If it's worry about cost, well, Restaurant Week gives the squeezed the opportunity to have a three-course meal of Italian classics at, say, Lombardino's, for not much more than the same items would cost at The Olive Garden.

Quick survey for anyone who works at a chain/corporate restaurant (fast food or sit down)...?

1. Does your company offer insurance?

2. Does your company offer paid vacation/sick days?

3. Which chain restaurant do you work for?

Again, I'm asking about any chain restaurant, from McDonald's to McAlister's to Red Lobster. I'm not looking for "Mom and Pop" restaurants, though.

At Red Lobster and Chilis, you get insurance if you sign up for it and work past 20 hours or 30 hours each week respectively. Also you get a vacation check depending on your tips for a whole week at the anniversiery of your employment. At Red Lobster, after 3 years you get 2 weeks pay, and after 7 year you get 3 weeks pay. At Chili's, it's just one week regardless of how many years you work. Also for sick days, all you really have to do is call in sick that day before your shift. You won't get paid for the day though.
