Why is there a dragon on the inside of my om mani padme hum silver bracelet; what does it mean?

My bracelet is handmade 925 silver and I purchased it to support Tibetan refugees in exile in some small way. It is NOT commercial. I listened to a live talk, via a translator by a Buddhist Monk who was imprisoned and tortured by the Chinese invaders.
The monks who were accompanying the Dali Lama's personal physician assured me( I asked) the bracelet was the work of a Tibetan refugee risiding in Tibet-in-exile at Dharmsala, India. He was imprisoned BY the Chinese for 25 years and tortured. When asked, via a translator what was the worse of his imprisonment and torture the man answered that he nearly became angry at THE CHINESE PERPATRATORS!!! AWE is what I felt and still DO feel!!

The Chinese to sell their wares pretend to be want you want them to be before you buy heir trinkets!

Be assured you have helped a cause - probably helping a Chinaman settle in Tibet!
