What should I get my gal for our one year anniversary?
I've already bought her a nice gold necklace with a heart-shaped diamond-covered pendant, which was rather painful for my wallet. I also drew a portrait of us (I am very skilled with a pencil). I'd like to get her something more though. She really means a lot to me, and the past year has been the best year of my life. What else could I get her? Should I just stick with the traditional flowers, chocolates, and nice dinner, or should I get some unexpected? Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I was thinking about giving her some small stuff first and saying that was all I had and then saying "Oh I almost forgot I have one more thing" and then giving her the beautifully wrapped necklace (those girls at Kay Jewelers really know how to gift wrap). What do you think?
Honestly, I think you've got a good set-up going there. I did kind of the same thing. I bought her a diamond necklace too (yes, painful lol), and I took her to the city for a nice dinner. Then afterwards I surprised her with a carriage ride. Girls love carriage rides. Look into that if you feel you wanna give her a nice surprise.
