It’s Almost Time For The Wicca Shop’s Big Grand Opening
Well, I've been putting my nose to the grindstone over the last couple weeks on putting all the final pieces together for the grand opening of my new Wiccan supplies store downtown. I have already had the web store up and running for a little while now, and business is not bad when you consider what a short time the site has been up.
For the actual Wiccan store, we're going to be concentrating less on incense and candles and that type of thing than on lifestyle merchandise. Most of what we are anticipating to have in the boutique are things like Wiccan clothing, but we'll also carry some Wicca witchcraft supplies. There is plenty that sells to the older and more established Wiccans as well as some really sexy and youthful clothes that sell more to the teenage crowd. There will also be pretty jewelry with different precious and semi-prescious stones, each with little gift cards outlining the special significance of the gemstones in the piece. I probably won't be getting in too many books, since I sort of feel like the profits are too low on them and that they don't sell as well as I would need, but I can only think that I'll have a reasonable selection of some of the very best.
And we will probably stock just one or two shelves of your basic witchcraft gear, as much for decoration as for any other reason, and I will put a lot of funky Wiccan decorations around the shop and candles and incense burning and all of this. I have an image of the place in my mind's eye that I sure hope I can pull off when bringing it all together since if I can it will be such a totally awesome place to work at and earn a living. I'm also anticipating getting an opportunity to get together with more people in the nearby Wiccan community as well, as we haven't yet been introduced to that many of them since I moved out to the country and I have always found the people that are a part of this community to be so nice.
