What does this mean? When I wear my cross pendant of catholic faitth, I feel peace and safety.?

I also try to be a better person, and feel loved in this chaotic world.
I'm not Catholic, not raised etc..., but have same faith.

Wearing this pendant helps you keep God at the forefront of your mind. As a result, you are more self-awwared of your Faith for God, so you're happy and feel spiritually secure in a crazy world; not to mention having God at the forefront of your mind helps you act like a better Christian.

How could you make a Saint Peter's Cross pendant out of a regular cross pendant?

Do you know a way to sauder it so that it hangs upside down?

You can just carefully saw the loop at the top off and solder it to the bottom. I recommend finding a jewelry/metalsmithing store in your area and asking them for Easy temperature solder in the metal that the pendant is made from (i.e. silver solder, gold solder) and some Handy Flux. If the pendant is made of any metal other than silver or gold, your best bet is to solder it with silver solder. This is very important... DO NOT USE PLUMBER'S SOLDER! It is very runny and will get all over your pendant and you will have to file it all off, if you can save the piece at all. Use the silver solder sparingly as well, a little goes a long way. The basic process is to file the two areas that you want to join so that they fit as well as possible (I like the light test... put them together and look at the joint in front of a light. If you see gaps, you need to file more.) Then you apply Handy Flux with a brush to the two metals to be joined. You put them together, place a small snippet of solder on the joint, and light up the torch. At school we use a giant air/acetylene torch, but at home I use a propane torch. It takes a little longer and can push the solder snippet around if you aren't careful, but it works. The handy flux will turn glassy and then the solder will start to look melty and shimmery, and then it will flow into the joint. Turn off the torch and let the pendant cool well before handling it. You will probably see some charring/burning on the piece, that can be fixed by putting the soldered piece into a mixture of water and pool Ph Minus (it's an acid solution, so be careful! Always add the Ph Minus to the water, not the other way around!) You can't put the piece in the acid solution if it is steel or nickle, and I'm unsure of what it will do to gemstones, so you might want to do further research before attempting this project. There's a fabulous book by Tim McCreight called The Complete Metalsmith, it runs for about $15, it is the textbook for the class I am taking. Maybe you could pick it up at the library.
